Teleorman County has a low altitude relief exceeding 100-200 meters height, composed by Romanian Plain and Danube Meadow. Due to the presence of the Danube and the relief of plain, the main activities are fishing and agriculture. Teleorman‘s climate is temperate-continental type with the influence of the Black Sea from south-east. Temperatures are high over 30º C during summer, with the annual average of the temperature at 10-11º C and the rainfall reduced up to 600 mm per year. The Danube River is the main river, followed by Olt, Vedea, Teleorman and Calmatui and the largest lakes are Suhaia and Vedea Lakes.
