Relief, flora, lakes and Suriname agriculture:
Suriname or Dutch Guyana how it was previously called has a relief composed by three different parts. To the ocean, at the coast there is a small and low fertile plain, in the southern part there is a downy area composed by a platform and the third part is covered by a huge area with equatorial forests. In fact, more than 90% of the country’ s surface is covered with equatorial forests. Comparative with its western and eastern neighbors, it has many more lakes and also the largest artificial lake from whole South America. Even though the arable lands are few and the locals work in agriculture and cultivate rice as the main culture plant.
Population, economy, name and other aspects:

The most part of the economy is obtained through the extraction and elaboration of bauxite. It obtained the independence from Netherlands in 25 November 1975.
