South Korea is among the most developed economically and richest countries in whole Asia. Almost half a century ago, it had the economy based upon agriculture, but with the help from the two economic giants Japan and U.S.A., it developed very quickly. The most developed industries are the ones of ship building, engineering, electronics and computers industries, textile and chemical.
Very well known factories like Hyundai, LG, Samsung or Kia Motors have their main headquarters here. Besides these, South Korea is one of the first world’s producers of oil.
