Relief, climate and agriculture:
Sao Tomé and Principe is the smallest country from Africa and is composed by two big volcanic islands and a few little more. The relief is mountainous, volcanic type with the highest peak, Pico Sao Tomé, a volcano at 2.024 m height. The climate is tropical with high temperatures between 22 and 32º C and a high rainfall over 1.000 mm annually. The most part of the territory is covered by tropical forests and the rest is transformed in arable lands on which the locals work in agriculture and cultivate coffee trees, copra and oil palms.

The most important resources for the economy are the ones of oil, but more and more the earnings are obtained through fishing and tourism which is more and more developed among the Europeans and American tourists and not only.
