Relief, agriculture and climate:
Oman has a diverse relief but mainly is composed by a desert and few mountains in the north part with the maximum height in the peak Jabal al-Akhdar at 3.107 m height. Few fertile lands are situated on the coast and are cultivated with cereals, tobacco, lemon trees and dates. Due to the very dry and hot climate with a low rainfall under 100 mm annually, it’s necessary to have irrigation systems and factories to desalinate the seawater.
