This small and beautiful country is covered by mountainous relief in the most part of it and in the south is the only low and plain area where the agriculture is practiced. Himalaya Mountains are extended from west to east and have on the country’ s territory many peaks over 8.000 m height. The world’s highest peak is Everest on the border with China and is 8.848 m height. The most important earnings come from tourism which is more and more developed due to the beautiful and unique mountain landscapes and the country is very popular among the world’s alpinists. Fauna and flora are rich in species and the best known are the tiger, the elephant and the leopard.
