By car:
North entry: follow the European road E578 (DN12) from Bistrița – Reghin – Gheorgheni.
North-East entry: follow the National road DN12a from Onești – Comănești.
West entry: follow the National road DN13a from Mureș – Sovata – Praid – Odorheiu Secuiesc.
South entry: follow the European road E578 (DN11/12) from Brașov – Sfântu Gheorghe.
Unfortunately it’s a small city as surface and population as well and the access is more difficult due to the city’s position.
By train:

Because of its position and the altitude of the relief where the city is situated, the climate in Miercurea Ciuc City is temperate-continental, very cold with powerful influences coming from Siberia and here are recorded the lowest temperatures from Romania mainly during winter. Summers are short and sometimes cold and winters long and frosty. The annual average of the temperature is 7-8° C. Miercurea Ciuc City is crossed by the Olt River, one of the most important from the country and close to the city are Miercurea Ciuc Baths with a small lake on their territory.

Miercurea Ciuc is a small city with a majority of Hungarian population of roman-catholic religion. It’s the main city from Harghita County and the most important economical and cultural centre from here. The name composed from two words, comes from the fact that here people organize a fair every Wednesday and the second word comes from the name of the depression where the city is situated.
Although the city appears in the historical documents as a city since 5th August 1558, it becomes Harghita County‘s residence only in 1878. Miercurea Ciuc City is part of the Secuiesc Land and tourists can come here not only for the beauty of the place and for the gorgeous landscapes, but also for relaxation and treatments in one of the county’s resorts like Harghita, Jigodin or Miercurea Ciuc Baths, all offering high quality services, different treatments to improve your health and they have also mineral waters.
