The Federated States of Micronesia were a U.S. dependent territory till 03 November 1986 when obtained the independence. The origin of these islands is volcanic or coral type and the heights are very low. The climate is tropical with high temperatures and humidity. The rainfall can pass 4.000 mm in the rainy season. The Micronesian archipelago is poor in subsoil resources and its different in origins and cultures with inhabitants working in agriculture for their own living. They cultivate coco trees, bananas, taro, sugar cane, black pepper, cassava, sweet potatoes and tropical fruits and grow pigs, chicken and other animals.
