Relief and climate in Madagascar:
Madagascar has a relief of more than 70% composed by a high plateau and mountains that reach the maximum elevation in the peak Maromokotro of 2.876 m height. These central mountains are surrounded by fertile coastal plains where the agriculture is practiced. The climate is subtropical with the succession of two seasons: the hot rainy season with the monsoons, cyclones or tropical forests presence, when the rainfall can pass over several thousands of mm (November-April) and the dry cooler season (May-October).
