Relief, cities, agriculture and industries from Libya:
Libya is a state with a relief almost totally covered by the Sahara Desert, with the only fertile area as a narrow band at the Mediterranean Seacoast. The capital Tripoli and the other cities most of them are situated in north. The inhabitants are working in agriculture cultivating cereals, tobacco, dates, figs, vine, olive trees and citrus and growing sheep, goats and chicken for food. (Find more journeys on blog.worldlifetimejourneys.com) A great part of the earnings are coming from the oil and natural gas extraction but also from the energetic, metallurgical and textile industries.
Tourism, economy and population:
Unfortunately the tourism is limited due to the numerous conflicts from the last decades that affected the country. In the last time, the most part of the economy was straightened towards the sanitary and teaching systems and for the country’s army. The population is mostly composed by Berbers, but also tribes of Beduins and Tuaregs present in Sahara Desert. The country obtained its independence at 24 December 1951 from Great Britain and France. Due to conflicts we do not recommend at the moment to visit Libya!
