Relief, population, economy, resources and other aspects about Liberia:
Liberia has a hilly and mountainous relief medium in elevation and mostly covered by tropical forests. The only plain is situated on the Atlantic coast where the most of the population is living and where is the capital and the largest port of the country, Monrovia, an important industry center and also a main fishing center. (Find more journeys on blog.worldlifetimejourneys.com) The highest point is in north at the border with Guinea and is called Wutibih with its 1.381 m height. The country’s economy is recovering and developing because the civil war between 1990 and 1997 affected a great part of it. Nowadays the economy is based upon agriculture (ules and hard and expensive woods), fishing (surprisingly it has one of the largest fleet in the world) and the iron resources (the main resource). It was occupied by the slaves who came from U.S.A. and it was founded at 16 July 1847. Visit Liberia!
