Relief, rivers and lakes from Kosovo:
Kosovo is a small country with a relief formed by mountains and the highest elevation is in Deravica peak of 2.656 meters height. There are also two regions of plain rather small like the plain or the Metohija basin from the west part and the Kosovo plain from the east part. These two low regions ensure a proper national agriculture land. The hydrography is very important in the country and the longest and the most important rivers which cross the country are the White Drin (Drinul Alb) which flows into the Adriatic Sea, Sitnica, South Morava (Morava de Sud) and Ibar. Although small as surface, this country has also a few beautiful lakes like Licenat, Gazivoda, Batlava, Badovac or Radonjic Lakes. If more than a half of the surface is covered by arable land and meadows, approximately a third of the area is forested.
Climate, agriculture and resources:
The country is temperate-continental with warm summers and cooler winters rich in rainfall in particular snow. The annual average of the temperature is 10-12° C.
