Relief, climate, rivers and lakes from Ilfov County:
This county has a relief totally composed by plain (Romanian Plain) with many pastures and lakes and the maximum elevation doesn’t exceed 100-200 meters height. The climate of Ilfov the smallest county from Romania is temperate-continental with very hot summers and cold winters and the difference between summer and winter temperatures is extremely high. The annual average of the temperature is 11-12º C and the rainfall is low of 500-600 mm per year. The longest and the most important rivers which cross the county are Ialomita, Dambovita and Colentina Rivers and the largest lakes are Cernica, Snagov, Buftea, Caldarusani, Manastirii and Mogosoaia.
