North entry: follow the National road DN24c from Moldova Republic.
North-East entry: follow the European road E583 (DN24) from Ukraine – Moldova Republic.
West entry: follow the European road E58 (DN28) from Austria – Slovakia – Ukraine – Baia Mare – Beclean – Bistrița – Vatra Dornei – Câmpulung Moldovenesc – Suceava – Botoșani or the European road E583 from Roman.
South entry: follow the National road DN24 from Bârlad-Vaslui.
South-East entry: follow the National road DN28 from Huși.
By train:
Iași City, although is very close to the border with Moldova Republic, is an important railway junction of the country. The most important railway routes which cross Iași are:

When to go:
The best period to visit Iași City is between April and September. Due to Siberian influences, winters are frosty in Iași and sometimes can persist even 4-5 months per year. However starting March-April, the weather is getting warmer and remains beautiful till October, so during this period the city can be visited without any fear of heavy rainfall, cold weather or powerful winds.

Iasi City is situated in the east part of Moldavia‘s historical region, in a low plain relief area represented by Moldavia Plain, part of Moldavia Plateau. Actually, the city is situated on 7 hills: Breazu, Bucium-Paun, Cetatuia, Copou, Galata, Repede and Sorogari and the average altitude where is situated is 200 m height. The climate in Iasi City is temperate-continental of hill and during winter there are powerful influences coming from Siberia and the temperature differences between summer and winter are very high. Summers in Iasi City are hot, however sometimes the temperature can drop pretty much below the normal values and winters are cold and long. The annual average of the temperature is 9-10° C. Iasi City is crossed by Bahlui, Nicolina and Sorogari Rivers and Dorobant, Chirita, Ezareni or Dumbrava Lakes are nearby.
