Relief, tourism, population, climate, fauna and flora of Guam:
Guam is a volcanic island with a coral part in the north and has a length of approximately 50 km and the width doesn’t exceed 20 km. The relief is low in elevation with the maximum point in Lamlan peak of 406 m height. The most part of the island is surrounded by a coral reef. The agriculture is almost absent, but fishing and tourism bring the most earnings. Tourists are attracted by the beauty of the landscapes, by the beautiful clime and fine sandy beaches. This small country gets permanent help from U.S.A., so the inhabitants have one of the highest standards of living in Oceania. The climate is tropical marine with medium temperatures that vary between 24 and 30º C. (Find more journeys on blog.worldlifetimejourneys.com) However the island is small, is good to mention that it has a beautiful and diversified fauna and flora, but unfortunately the brown tree snake killed in time all the nine species of endemic birds that were present here. The country is an important military base for U.S.A. Visit Guam!
