Relief of Germany:
Germany is one of the most important countries from Europe and from the world. It extends from the North Sea and the Baltic Sea in north, till the Alps Mountains in south. The relief is various but the largest part of the territory is covered by hills and forested mountains. Among the best known groups of mountains are the Black Forest Mountains where rises the Danube River, Harz Mountains, Renan Massif and Bavarian Mountains which gives the highest peak of the country, Zugspitze peak of 2.962 meters height. The plain area is present in north where is the North-European Plain.
Forests, rivers and lakes:
The forests represent 30% of the country’s territory. The Bavarian Forest from south-east of the country is the largest from West Europe. Another well known forest is the Black Forest which is extended on 5.100 km² and attract thousands of tourists. As about the hydrograph network, Germany is very rich, because it’s crossed by a lot of rivers and has many important lakes. The most important river after the Danube River is the Rhine. It is navigable and there’s even a channel that connects it with the Danube River. Other navigable rivers are: Ruhr, Elba and Ems. The biggest lake is Konstanz Lake.
Climate from Germany:
As about the climate, the country is situated between the cold moderate area with oceanic influences, coming from the Atlantic Ocean and the continental climate from Eastern Europe. The agriculture is well developed due to the proper climate and Germany is among the top ten world producers of barley, potatoes and hops for beer. The most important ports are Bremen and Hamburg, where the last one is also the largest port in the country.
