Relief and climate of Eastern Timor:
This small country occupies the east part of the Timor Island and the enclave Oecussi from the Indonesian part of the same island. It has a mountainous relief with some peaks over 2.500 m height. The highest peak is Tatamailau at 2.963 m height. The only arable lands are in south where the rainfall is high because the north part is drier. The climate is tropical with high and constant temperatures during the year.
