It has a relief mostly formed by a platform (The Massive of Bohemia) and by plain, with few mountains in the northern part. The maximum height is Snezka peak at 1.602 m height situated at the border with Poland in north. The country is situated approximately at the same distance from the Baltic Sea in north (326 km) and the Adriatic Sea in south (322 km).
The country is split in the eastern part called Moravia and the western part called Bohemia. The most important rivers are Vltava, Morava and Elba. The climate is continental-temperate and humid, with hot summers and cold winters, often even snow. Winters are cold especially because of the winds from Siberia which decrease the temperatures below 0º C. This is a forested country with spruce, pine and beech forests. The agriculture plays an important role in Czechs life.
