Chile holds the famous Easter Island at a distance of 3.700 km away of its coasts in the Pacific Ocean. This is also called Rapa Nui and is well known over the world for its mysterious statues called moai. The Chilean relief is composed by a few different parts: in west there is a long coastline where are the most of the arable and fertile lands. Up to north close to the border with Peru is one of the hottest and driest places on earth, Atacama desert. The Andes Mountains are situated in the eastern part starting from north to south with many peaks over 6.000 m height. The highest peak is Ojos del Sare with 6.893 m height which is also the highest active volcano in the world.

Comparative with the northern part, in south there is a cold region, very windy with some frozen areas. The southernmost point of the continent is Cape Horn, just 650 km away of Antarctica.
