Central African Republic has a plateau relief with heights that rarely pass 700-900 m and the maximum elevation is in the Ngaoui peak of 1.420 m height. The climate is tropical with high temperatures and humidity. The most part of the surface is covered with tropical forests, a part of them being protected by law against the devastation of the rich fauna and flora habitats. Among the rare and very important species are the leopard and the mountain gorillas.

Among all rivers that cross this country, the most important is the Ubangi River on the border with Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo.
