Relief, rivers, lakes and climate from Cameroon:
The country has a complex relief composed by plain in south, a plateau covered by tropical forests in the center and northern parts and the north-western part at the border with Nigeria is dominated by mountains with the maximum elevation in the Fako volcano from south-west (4.095 m height). The climate is tropical hot with high temperatures and one of the highest rainfall in the mountain area (over 10.000 mm annually). Cameroon is crossed by many rivers and the most important lake, Chad Lake is situated in the extreme north of the country.
Agriculture, industry, tourism and population:
The locals are involved in agriculture cultivating cereals, coffee and cacao trees, bananas, cotton and peanuts and in fishing. Besides these activities, important are the woodwork industry and the industries of oil, natural gas, iron, bauxite and limestone working.
