Brașov City doesn’t have a regularly touristic season. Due to the complexity of touristic attractions and activities, the city can be visited year-round. Brasov City is situated in the south-east part of the historic region Transylvania, in a low depression relief area called Brasov Depression surrounded from all parts by mountains. In fact, the city is situated at the intersection between the Southern Carphatians and the Eastern Carphatians at an average elevation of 625 m height and is the county’s capital city situated at the highest altitude from Romania. The climate in Brasov City is temperate continental, with transition influences, also the oceanic influences can be felt. Due to the high elevation, summers are shorter but anyway warm and winters are long and cold. The annual average of the temperature is 7-9° C and the rainfall is approximately 700 mm per year. Brasov City is not crossed by any important river from Romania. However it is crossed by some smaller rivers like Scheiu, Valea Tei, Gorganu, Valea Florilor or Timis Rivers.
