When to go:
The best period to visit Arad City is in spring between the second half of March when the weather begins to warm up and the flowers rise in parks and May-June when the temperature is still tolerable or in autumn in September and October and even in the first part of November. In the summer the weather is very nice, but often is very hot. Though, summer is the least crowded season.

Relief and climate of Arad City:
Arad City is situated in the Western Plain / Campia de Vest (Arad Plain) at an elevation of 107 m height. It’s one of the most important road and railway junctions from the west part of Romania and is very close to the border with Hungary. The climate of the city is temperate, with warm and long summers and short and mild winters. The annual average of the temperature is 10-11° C and the rainfall around 600 mm per year. The main river that cross the city is Mures, one of the longest and most important rivers from Romania.
Fauna and flora of Arad City:
Arad City has one of the most beautiful architecture from western Romania. Being for a long time under Austro-Hungarian domination, today you can still feel the Hungarian air of the historical buildings. Of course that here are not missed the historical paths and it’s known the fact that Arad Citadel is one of the main sights of the city. Because it’s very close to Lipovei Hills and Zarand Mountains, many of Arad surrounding areas are wooded, home for a various fauna and flora. In the neighboring areas you can hunt but also go fishing a little further to south in Mures Meadow Natural Park which is situated also on the territory of Timis County.
