Sibiu County has a predominant plateau and mountain relief with the Transylvanian Plateau (composed by Tarnavelor, Hartibaciu and Secaselor Plateaus) covering the central and north parts and with Făgăraș, Lotrului and Cindrel Mountains covering the south part.
