Iasi County has a relief composed by plain (Moldovei Plain) and hills (Fălticeni Plateau) with two areas of low meadow, Siretului Meadow and Prutului Meadow. The area is favorable for the intensive agriculture and the maximum heights barely touch 500 meters. The climate in Iasi is temperate-continental with influences coming from Siberia which makes the summers not very hot but dry and the winters cold. The annual average of the temperature is 10-11º C.
