Relief, climate, rivers and lakes from Vaslui City:

Vaslui City is situated in the central part of Moldova‘s historical region, in a hilly and plateau relief area situated at the contact between Tutova’s Hills and Central Moldavian Plateau, both parts of the stretched and picturesque Moldavia’s Plateau. This gorgeous area where the city is situated is composed by terraces and the hills present here are: Morii, Chitoc and Brodoc, separated by large valleys. The average of altitude is 150 m height.

The climate in Vaslui City is temperate-continental of hill, but here the temperature differences between summer and winter are quite big. This thing is possible due to the fact that the area is influenced by cold air masses from Siberia. The annual average of the temperature is 9-10° C and the annual rainfall of 700-800 mm.
