Relief, tourism, climate and agriculture:

Thailand is one of the most developed countries in Asia and occupies the northern part of Malacca Peninsula in the south part of the country. It has a complex relief composed by mountains on its western side, where is the highest peak, Doi Inthanon at 2.595 m height. The central and eastern parts and also the part towards Malaysia are composed by low plains. The north-eastern part is formed by the Khorat Plateau.

Many beaches and amazing places to spend the holidays are situated in southern part of this beautiful country. Together with the beautiful cities full of culture and history they attract annually more than 10 million tourists. So, tourism represents an important domain of activity together with agriculture, fishing and services. The climate is tropical with the monsoons influence in the rainy season. The agriculture and especially the rice cultures (the world’s 1st producer) and the ules (world’s leader) bring important earnings.

Fishing, industry, resources, population and name of Thailand:

Fishing is another important activity because the waters that border the country in west and east are rich in fish and seafood. The country also has huge reserves of tin, coal, gold, zinc, plumb, oil, natural gas and  gems and the wood resources cover a third of the territory. In the last period the country industrialized quickly so more and more, Thai moved in cities and the standard of living grew more and more. (Find more journeys on blog.worldlifetimejourneys.com)
