Relief, climate, resources, government and population from Qatar:

Qatar is a peninsula with a dry relief of desert that has a few fertile areas. The climate is tropical, hot with often temperatures over 40º C and the rainfall is low, almost absent. Like its neighbors, the country is based on seawater desalination to obtain the fresh water. If the oil reserves are small, the country is on the 3rd place in the world as resources of natural gas. Fishing is the most important activity here. The population is mix due to the nationalities who came here from the Indian subcontinent. More than three quarters are living in Doha and its suburbs. It obtained the independence at 03 September 1971. Visit Qatar!
