Relief, agriculture, tourism and fauna and flora:

Jamaica is mainly composed from a mountainous relief, but also low plains in the southern and western parts of it. The highest peak is the Blue Mountain with its 2.256 m height. Although the relief is calcareous and crossed by dolines and deep valleys, the low plains are used in agriculture and the sugar cane like in all the other Caribbean countries is the main plant for cultures. In this beautiful country are grown over 500.000 goats and the same number of cattle. The extraction and capitalization of the bauxite bring over 60% of the country’s earnings. The tourism is very important here and the country is visited by more than 2 million tourists annually. The fauna and flora are rich in tropical forests but also many species of amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.
