Importance, conflicts and relief of Israel:

Israel even if it’s a small country it has a great importance in the world especially among the world’s Christians because is the place where Jesus was born and raised. The country obtained its independence at 14 May 1948, but since then unfortunately it has no silence because of the many conflicts and wars that they have with its neighbors for some of the territories like the Gaza Strip, the West Bank of the Jordan River and the Golan Heights. The best known conflict is between Israelis and Palestinians.

The country has a desert relief in south, composed by the Negev Desert, mountains in the central-eastern and northern parts with the highest peak Meron at 1.208 m height and fertile plains on the coasts. (Find more journeys on blog.worldlifetimejourneys.com) One of the lowest points on earth is in the Dead Sea (-400 m below sea level) at the border with Jordan.

Agriculture, industry, tourism, population and cities:

The inhabitants work in agriculture cultivating citrus, olive trees, vine and cereals, but especially in the most important industries like engineering, the production of computers, chemical, alimentary, textile and the production of diamonds. The tourism occupies an important role especially because here is the main territory for three of the world’s religions: Christianity, Islamism and Judaism. The largest part of the population is composed by Jews and the 2nd important population is composed by Arabs. The capital and the largest city is Jerusalem, but Tel Aviv and Haifa play an important role especially as ports at the Mediterranean Sea. Visit Israel!
