Climate, relief, rivers and agriculture from Chad:

Chad is a country with a mostly dry climate due to the presence of the Sahara Desert that covers more than a half of the country in the north and central parts. The south part is composed by plains for agriculture and low elevation relief areas covered with tropical forests. The highest peak is in Tibesti Mountains in north, Emil Koussi Peak of 3.415 m height. The most important rivers, among is Sari, are situated in the southern plain.

The climate is dry and hot in north and tropical warm in south where the rainfall is more abundant. The Lake with the same name is situated in west on the border with Cameroon very close to the capital N’Djamena. The local’s main activity is the well developed agriculture. (Find more journeys on blog.worldlifetimejourneys.com) The locals cultivate cotton, sorghum, sugar cane, sugar beet,  cereals and tobacco and grow domestic animals like goats, sheep, cattle and camels. It doesn’t have too many resources and the standard of living is very low. It obtained the independency from France at 11 August 1960. Visit Chad!
