Relief, climate and Azerbaijani rivers:

Azerbaijan is a republic with a complex relief formed by Caucasus Mountains in north, Lesser Caucasus Mountains in west and few mountains in south, fertile plains in the central part, crossed by the main Azerbaijani rivers like Kura and Aras and a beautiful coast in the eastern part at the Caspian Sea. The highest peak of the country is Bazarduzu with its 4.466 m height. It has also an enclave in Armenia and unfortunately for many years it is in conflict with Armenia for a land called Nagorno-Karabakh where it is said that the population is mostly Armenian. The rivers and lakes help to produce electricity and also for irrigation in agriculture.

Population (inhabitants), agriculture and resources of Azerbaijan:

The inhabitants cultivate orchards, cereals, tobacco, vine, cotton, tea and others. On the other hand, country’s economy is concentrated on tourism which is getting better and better, but especially on its rich resources of oil, natural gas, gold, aluminium and others. The capital and the biggest port and city is Baku from the eastern side at the Caspian Sea and other important cities are Ganja and Sumgait. Visit Azerbaijan!
